THE MVPR DIFFERENCE:
FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY (LEVEL 3 CERTIFIED).

At MVPR Therapy, we understand that our bodies are complex systems that need individualized treatment. We strive to give our clients the best care possible and work with them to develop a personalized treatment plan. Our approach starts by looking at the global picture of how your body is ordered, how your body moves, and how one issue can lead to problems elsewhere. This helps us identify the root cause of any pain, dysfunction, or areas holding you back from your movement potential. From this point, we will use a unique combination of fascial stretching, manual therapy and proven exercises to create lasting change.

WHAT IS FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY?

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is an assisted table-based stretching system that focuses on the connective tissue in your body (aka fascia) as the key element in achieving optimal flexibility, strength, performance and pain relief.

FST is non-invasive and one of the quickest, most effective and pleasant methods to eliminate pain, restore function, move and feel better in activities of life, fitness and sports.

WHAT MAKES FST DIFFERENT?

  • Pain-free: stretching should NEVER hurt!

  • Personal evaluation - ESSENTIAL to reach goals FAST.

  • Customized NOT standardized for YOUR needs.

  • Hundreds of stretches to personalize your experience.

  • Session cost is not based on price but on VALUE.

WHAT IS
FASCIA?

Fascia is a thin casing of connective tissue that surrounds and holds every organ, blood vessel, bone, nerve fiber and muscle in place. Healthy fascia is smooth, slippery and flexible. It’s designed to stretch as you move, but there are certain factors that can cause fascia to thicken and become sticky. This includes a sedentary lifestyle, repetitive movement and injury/trauma. When your fascia tightens up around muscles, it can limit mobility and cause painful knots to develop. Untreated fascia restrictions can create body-wide compensations.

FST CAN HELP WITH:

Chronic non-specific low back pain

Tight hips and shoulders

Poor posture

Stiff neck and upper back

Sports and fitness injuries

PTSD

Increasing running speed

Increasing vertical jump

Improving balance

Improving coordination

Improving flexibility

Improving sleep and so much more!

COMPARISONS AND CONTRASTS OF
TRADITIONAL STRETCHING VS FST.

TRADITIONAL STRETCHING

Anatomically isolated and mechanical technique based

Based on outdated, isolated muscle science

Linear, limited, predictable movements

Targets an isolated muscle

FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY

Complete whole body, dynamic systems based methodology

Based on current science and research specific to stretching and neuromyofascial system of the body

Circular, multi-directional, as needed customized movements

Targets joint capsule and muscles within neuromyofascial network

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Can I use my insurance/employee health benefits for Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)?

✅ Yes! At MVPR Therapy, our therapists are Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs), which means we can bill your Fascial Stretch Therapy sessions under Massage Therapy insurance benefits. Unlike generic stretch studios, you get expert, licensed care while maximizing your health coverage.

What should I wear to my session?

🔹 Our Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) and RMT sessions are active, movement-based treatments, not your typical spa massage.

🔹 Wear comfortable athletic wear, like shorts, leggings, and a sports bra/tank top (for women), as you’ll be moving throughout your session.

🔹 For best results, avoid restrictive clothing like jeans or tight, non-stretch fabrics.

What makes MVPR Therapy different from other stretch studios like StretchLab?

Unlike generic stretch studios, MVPR Therapy is led by licensed experts who specialize in pain relief, injury recovery, and mobility optimization.

✔ Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) – Covered by insurance

✔ Level 3 Certified in Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) – Advanced expertise

✔ Trusted by athletes & active professionals for performance & rehab

✔ Personalized approach – We assess & tailor every session to your needs

What conditions can FST help with?

Fascial Stretch Therapy can help with:

✅ Lower back pain, neck tension, & tight shoulders

✅ Hip mobility issues, frozen shoulder & post-surgery rehab

✅ Sports injuries, chronic pain, & muscle soreness

✅ Poor posture, stiffness & movement restrictions

✅ Athletic performance enhancement & injury prevention

Is Fascial Stretch Therapy painful?

No! FST is a gentle, pain-free assisted stretching method that works with your body’s natural movement patterns. Unlike traditional stretching, it targets your fascia, joints, and neuromuscular system, making it feel more fluid and effective with long-lasting results.

How long does a typical session last, and how many do I need?

Each Fascial Stretch Therapy session lasts 60 minutes, with personalized assessments and techniques.

📍 For best results, we recommend weekly or bi-weekly sessions to improve mobility, pain relief, and performance.
